So I know I haven't been very active here ever. But I kind of want to change that. My first semester at the
Kansas City Art Institute is finally over an my grades are in! I am super excited about everything. The first semester was amazing and more than I could ever have hoped for. I've made so many friends there and many have dA accounts, you should totally go check them out below. They are all amazing artists and deserve your attention.
This is also a test journal for me to work on my new layout. I really just want it to flow well with the rest of the page, not anything too gaudy and out there. I will keep the same color schemes and what not, but still make it mine. Pardon any changes you see...and they _will_ happen.
I've also started a rather hefty project yesterday called
skketchbook. I hope to keep this going for the next three and half years. I'm stupid as fuck to do something like this, i know, but I love the idea. I plan on writing in 3.5x5.5inch hardbound ruled moleskine sketchbook for the rest of my career here at the
Kansas City Art Institute. I love the idea of being able to look back on my four years here and be able to read what all I went through and how I changed and what not. I plan on constantly updating this file with each passing sketchbook I finish. Hopefully I will keep this up and this file will steadily get larger and larger. Here's to me keeping this up!
give my friends some love this christmas! they would much appreciate it.

My Friends at the Art Institute.

I wish I could do what you are doing when I was your age. It sounds really exciting to be at the Art Institute. The breadth of knowledge and experience you get there is going to be amazing. Congratulations to you for getting there.
My partner (19 years now) grew up in Topeka Kansas and went to KU. We still visit his family in Topeka and Lawrence.
I find your Design work impressive for one so young. I hold imagination and creativity in very high esteem and you use both of those well.
I hope I did not come-off as overly critical in my comments. My writing can sound harsher than it is meant to. I only want to be constructive. I ran out of time to comment on more of your work, but I did look at it all.
Are you also doing traditional art media as well, like figure drawing, water color, charcoal, oil, acrylic, etc?
Learning drawing skills and things like 1, 2, & 3 Point Perspective, atmospheric perspective, reflections on objects like spheres, etc, especially "Perspective," will be a big help in your future design work.
Envy is one of the seven deadly sins, but alas, I am guilty.
Isn't it great to be actually doing what you enjoy. Most human beings do not get to do that. I hope it works out well for you.
